• 1988: Division of Hematology, University Hospital, Nijmegeen (Nederland) to learn techniques of purification and prevention of the graft reaction in allogenic bone marrow transplantation.

• 1982-1988: Teaching appointment on Hematology at the Department of Hematology of the University of Chieti (Director: Prof. G. Torlontano).
• 1987-2015: Adjunct Professor of the Specialty Board School of Hematology in the University of Chieti, Italy.

SCIENTIFIC INTEREST

Main fields of scientific interests are: bone marrow transplantation and stem cell processing and differentiation; thrombotic and Haemorrhagic disorders, specially BCR/Abl-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN). He has conducted and coordinated research on cardiovascular prevention in Essential Thrombocythemia in collaboration with the Institute of Pharmacology of the Catholic University of Rome and with the ‘Centro Studi sull’Invecchiamento’ of the University of Chieti.
